Backwater
It’s rained so much that all the water can’t drain away. The sewage system backs up, and water overflows into your home through the toilets or sinks. Your cellar and flat are flooded, and your furniture, electrical appliances and clothes are damaged. Covered!

There’s a massive snowstorm overnight that dumps a tonne of snow on the roof of your house, which collapses. Covered!

How a natural
disaster add-on
works
New for old
A flood damages your home. As a result, many of your insured items are damaged (e.g. bed, TV, clothes, fridge). You’re compensated for the current market value of the insured items.
‘Current market value’ means that if you bought e.g. your fridge for €750 5 years ago and the same or similar fridge costs €1000 today brand new, you’d be reimbursed €1000 (as long as you set your sum insured at minimum €1000).
Double the cover
Contents insurance covers all your belongings against risks like fire damage, water damage, burglary or storms, including hail.
When it comes to forces of nature, only storms and hail are covered by a basic contents policy. A natural disaster add-on extends your coverage to floods, backwater, earthquakes and avalanches.
