A few basic hints that help you file a claim

Do it now

Insurance does not act retroactively. If you want to protect the things you care most about in life, you should get cover sooner rather than later – before anything can happen at all.

Check the policy

Before filing a claim, first ask yourself: is that really covered by my policy? Please check your insurance policy and exclusions before filing a claim. To view your policy, simply select the relevant insurance module in the app.

Provide proof

Document your insurance claim with photos. If someone saw how the damage or loss occurred, then you should exchange contact information with them. They could help verify your claim later on. Also, keep the receipts for your insured items, such as your bicycle or mobile phone, in a safe place. You will need them if you report a theft, for example.

Save time

Providing Carla with more detailed descriptions of any claim enables her to process your claim faster and more effectively. If we have all the necessary information from you, we can deal with your claim quickly. You can help us by providing complete and correct information on the case.

Claims involving a higher amount of damage or loss may take longer to check and process. Don't worry, we haven't forgotten you! In case your claim is taking longer, we will keep you informed about the status. If there is any missing information or if we do not understand your case yet, our insurance experts will contact you. Often, a claim involves multiple parties, such as claimants and witnesses. To process the claim, they will need to be contacted. In some cases, this can delay the claims process, for example if they are on holiday or if they are difficult to reach.

Stay safe!
