Trips up to 63 days are covered. Pre-existing conditions, rehab, planned dental work, addiction, war zones, and medical travel are not. Claim in the app, cancel with one month notice before renewal, and start protection in minutes.

Illnesses or injuries known or treated before the trip are not covered.
Planned treatments abroad
Trips made mainly to get medical treatment are not covered. Planned procedures and planned dental work are excluded, even if cheaper abroad.
Family members not insured
On an individual plan only the person named on the policy is covered. For shared cover there are family plans that cover partners and children in one contract. Each person on an individual plan needs their own Travel Health policy.
War zones and intent
Travel to active war or crisis zones is not covered. Injuries from addiction or caused on purpose are also excluded, insurance cannot cover deliberate harm.

Who can get this travel health insurance and is the first year really free?
New customers under 40 can activate it in the Getsafe app. The first year is free. After that it costs 15.00 euros per year. You can cancel in the app with one month notice before renewal. If you are 40 or older, this specific offer is not available.
When does my cover start and are there any waiting periods?
Cover starts right after you activate it in the app. There is no waiting period. Activate it before you seek treatment, so we can help from the start.
How long am I covered on each trip and where in the world?
You are covered worldwide for up to 63 days per trip. On day 64 the cover for that trip ends. If you plan a longer stay, consider other cover for the extra days.

How do I get help in an emergency and file a claim?
If it is urgent, open the Getsafe app and tap Support for 24/7 help. We can guide you to care and arrange transport if needed. After treatment, upload invoices and medical reports in the app. We review and reimburse eligible costs. Keep originals until the claim is closed.
Can I add my partner or family to the same policy?
No, this policy covers one person. Family members are not included. Each person needs their own policy in the app. Set up takes about 2 minutes.
