Can I take out Getsafe dental insurance?
You can take out dental insurance if you are insured under the German statutory health insurance (GKV).
Is there a waiting period before I can use it?
No. Your cover starts immediately on your selected start date.
Will my previous dental insurance be taken into account?
Yes. If you previously had a private dental insurance policy with comparable coverage, we credit full insurance years so you can benefit from higher reimbursement limits sooner.
What does the dental insurance cover?
Depending on your tariff, we reimburse 75%, 90% or 100% of eligible costs for tooth preservation, dental prosthetics, orthodontics, professional teeth cleaning and more.
How often is professional teeth cleaning reimbursed?
We reimburse professional teeth cleaning in full – without percentage reductions and without annual limits.
How much is reimbursed for implants?
Implants including necessary bone augmentation are covered within the scope of your selected tariff.
Are orthodontic treatments for children included?
Yes. Medically necessary orthodontic treatments for children are covered within the scope of your selected tariff.
What happens in case of an accident?
If a tooth is damaged or lost due to an accident, we cover the medically necessary treatment.
How do the limits work in the first years?
In the first three insurance years, fixed reimbursement limits apply. From the fourth year onwards, benefits are unlimited within your selected tariff.
How do I submit an invoice?
You can easily submit your invoice via the Getsafe app. After review, we transfer the reimbursement directly to your account.
