Intentional criminal acts
We do not cover defense when you are finally convicted of intentional conduct. If an act was not intentional the related costs can be covered.
Fines and penalties
We do not pay fines, penalties, or punitive payments imposed by a court or authority.
Business or freelance disputes
Conflicts from your business, trade or freelance activity are not covered here. These are handled by separate business legal protection insurance.

What does legal protection insurance cover?
It covers legal issues in everyday life, work and traffic. Disputes after a traffic accident, job matters like termination or pay, and private contracts including online buys. Traffic cases are covered unless a court finds you acted on purpose. Landlord or tenant cases are covered with the housing add-on. Includes legal advice and cover for lawyers and courts. Cover is unlimited in Germany, worldwide cover can have limits.
Who is eligible to get covered?
You can apply if you live in Germany and have a German address. We match you with a plan that fits how you live, for example if you rent, drive or are employed. Existing disputes are not eligible for new cover. If you are unsure, book a quick free consultation and we will check your situation together.
Why is there a waiting period and how does it work?
Most plans include a short waiting period. It prevents people from insuring a dispute that has already started. Your cover applies to new events after that time. The length and any exceptions depend on the plan you choose. We will tell you what is covered now, and from which date, before you decide. Law talk is nobody's hobby, so we keep it simple.
How do I report a legal case?
